Ametrine: A Rare Gift of Nature
Ametrine, also known as amethyst-citrine, is a unique quartz that naturally blends the mysterious purple of Amethyst with the brilliant yellow of Citrine. Each gem features a one-of-a-kind interplay of colors, where hues seamlessly merge, contrast, and interact—a true masterpiece of nature.

Origin & Characteristics
- Color: Ametrine’s signature bicolor effect comes from the fusion of Amethyst’s deep purple and Citrine’s golden-yellow or orange hues, creating a striking visual contrast.
- Origin: The Anahi mine in eastern Bolivia is the world’s only commercial source of natural ametrine. Discovered by a Spanish explorer in the 17th century, the mine was lost for over 300 years before being rediscovered and re-exploited in 1970.
- History: Legend tells that a Spanish explorer gifted ametrine stones to the Queen of Spain after discovering the mine in the 1600s. The mine was later given as part of the dowry in his marriage to Princess Anahi, a native of the region.
More than just a stunning gemstone, ametrine carries a rich historical legacy, making it a truly special choice for jewelry lovers and collectors. Its unique color blend makes every piece of jewelry an eye-catching work of art.
